Sherry L. Bertner

Sherry Bertner has over 25 years of experience interacting with companies in the equity capital markets, including working with their executives as an Advisor, investing in them as a Senior Buy-Side Institutional Analyst, and covering them as a Sell-Side Equity Research Analyst.

Sherry's Health Care Advisory career began in 2009. Prior to founding Bertner Advisors, LLC, Sherry was a Partner at a financial communications consulting firm, where she was brought on to build and lead the Health Care practice.

Her work providing strategic counsel to senior executives in the Health Care sector follows a career as a Wall Street analyst spanning 14 years, including 12 years as a Senior Health Care Equity Research Analyst on the buy-side, both with long only institutions and long/short hedge funds. 

In her career as an institutional investor, Sherry drove health care equity investment decisions for several of the largest mutual funds and hedge funds in the country. She was most recently a Founding Partner of Angelo, Gordon & Co.'s Health Care Fund. Before joining Angelo, Gordon in 2005, she held Senior Health Care Equity Research Analyst positions with Fortress Investment Group, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Eagle Asset Management, and Trusco Capital Management. She started in the industry in the mid-1990s as a sell-side analyst with Equitable Securities Corporation. 

She received a BS in Management with dual minors in Finance and Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
